MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Moultrie Police need your help to catch a man they say tried to use a stolen ID to buy Cigarettes.

Surveillance video shows the man approaching the Enmark convenience store last Thursday. When the man tried to purchase two cartons of cigarettes with a woman's debit card, the cashier asked to see an ID.

That's when investigators say the cashier knew something was up.

"She knew that this wasn't the individual and what she did was, she kind of stalled him for a little bit and called 911," said Investigator Eric Hill with Moultrie Police.

Hill says a wallet with the ID and debit card inside was stolen after the victim gave the man a ride.

If you recognize the man or have any information, you're asked to call Moultrie Police.
