ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Special elections for Worth County commission and Sumter County School Board are taking place today.

In Worth County, Ken Hall, Matt Medders, and Dan Miller running for the District 2 seat, after Mack Sutton resigned last year for health reasons.    

The special election for Sumter County Board of Education is also underway.  

Incumbent Willa Fitzpatrick is being challenged by Patricia Lynn Taft for the District 4 seat.   Sarah Pride is challenging incumbent Mike Mock in District 6.  

Polls are open until 7:00 p.m., and a photo ID is required to cast a ballot in the elections.

Voters should cast their ballot at their regular voting place.
