NASHVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Nashville Police Chief Chuck Edwards says 31 year-old Kevin Brown was caught in Cook County early this morning after an all night stakeout.

Just after 1 p.m. Monday afternoon, Brown was booked into the Berrien County jail after being arrested early in the morning at a motel in Cecil.

"At approximately four o' clock this morning, the GBI had set up surveillance on Mr. Kevin Brown, along with Cook County Sheriff's Office, all night long during the weather and everything," said Berrien County Sheriff Anthony Heath.

Brown is accused of shooting and killing 23 year-old Cornelius Rashawn Miller outside the Blue Swan night club in Nashville around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Sheriff Anthony Heath says this type of violence isn't exactly common at the club, but it's not the first murder there.

"In my recollection, off the top of my head," Heath pointed out, "this is the second murder with in maybe a seven year span."

The sheriff says the club is located in a area where crime is common.

"That square block has repetitiously been named the corner drug area; the high drug and high crime area," Heath explained.

And unfortunately, it lived up to that reputation on Saturday.
