BEN HILL COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Ben Hill County Sheriff Bobby McLemore says 59-year-old Ricky Music, from Alma, was killed this morning around 5:30, when his log truck overturned.

Authorities believe the weather and speed were factors in a log truck crash that killed a man in Ben Hill County.

Ben Hill County Sheriff Bobby McLemore says 59-year old Ricky Music of Alma was driving a log truck on Highway 206 early Monday morning. He turned left onto Bowen's Mill Road, then the truck overturned and landed in a pond.

"I think the weather and the load had a lot of bearing on this wreck. I think he actually came up on that stop sign way too fast and he tried to make the turn and with a top heavy load, it shifted on him and he just flipped upside down," said Sheriff Bobby McLemore.

Music was delivering logs to Fitzgerald. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities believe Music drowned.
