DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

Democratic Candidate Tracy Taylor kicked off his campaign for a spot on the Dougherty county commission. Taylor and his supporters gathered in front of the government center this afternoon.

He says if elected he'll focus on bringing more jobs to the area, lowering the tax rate, and improving youth programs.

Taylor will face Pat Garner in the May 20th Democratic Primary.

"I feel like I have a unique opportunity to appeal to younger voters and try to bring abroad the issues that affect younger citizens in Albany Georgia, and not only that there are a lot of issues that affect our older citizens our senior citizens," says district four county commission candidate Tracy Taylor.

Taylor has lived in Albany for 13-years and graduated from Albany Technical college. The winner of the Democratic primary will face incumbent Republican Ewell Lyle in November.
