ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A popular military ceremony canceled last year due to budget cuts is returning to MCLB.

The Battle Color Detachment from Marine Corps Headquarters will perform Monday at the base.      It includes the Marine Corps' Drum and Bugle Corps, Silent Drill Platoon, and Color Guard. MCLB Commanding Officer Col. Don Davis is happy to welcome them back.

"For them to come out in Southwest Georgia to our community to give us a little taste of what folks up there get to see and a little flavor of the marine corps it means a lot to the community," said Col. Donald J. Davis.

The ceremony is open to the public. The parade starts at one o'clock Monday afternoon.
