ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Commissioner candidate Pat Garner says if voters elect him in District IV, he'll work to raise wages for Public Safety workers.

Garner will face Tracy Taylor in the May 20th Democratic Primary. The winner will go against incumbent Ewell Lyle in the November general election.

He also says he'll work to fix the ongoing mosquito infestation problem in his district.

"I'm strongly opposed to the Natural Gas Pipeline that a private company that a private company is planning to build through Dougherty County. This company has promised the county and District four no jobs and no benefits and only the threats of environmental damage and decreased property values."

Garner says he's excited to get to know more people in his district.
