Veterans also got a little help Thursday in Albany as they try to enter the workforce.
The Albany State University career fair is part of a statewide initiative to help veterans get jobs.
48 employers took part, including the Department of Juvenile Justice which is specifically looking to hire veterans.
"We understand the need. We have a lot of veterans that work with the department. I'm retired from the air force in 2000, and went straight to work for this department. So it has been a way to serve my state after I completed serving my federal service," said Dept. of Juvenile Justice Regional Recruiter Robert Long.
An estimated 80,000 Georgia veterans are expected to enter the workforce by 2016.
