TALLAHASSEE, FL (WALB) -

Tallahassee authorities confirm Demonta Price has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a man in December.

According to a report, Demonta Montrell Price, 18, was arrested around 4 p.m. Wednesday in Tallahassee by U.S. Marshals.

He is charged with murder in the shooting death of 35-year-old Jamey Spurlock.

Officials said Price was taken into custody at the Roadway Inn at 2702 N. Monroe St. in Tallahassee. He had checked into the hotel with is girlfriend on March 7th.

Investigators with the Albany Police Department's Robbery-Homicide team also traveled to Tallahassee to interview Price. He was later booked into the Leon County Jail.

The shooting and murder happened on December 22nd, when investigators say Price, along with his brothers 23-year-old Demetrius and 20-year-old Kovarious Price robbed and shot Spurlock to death while he was working to change a tire on Silica Drive in East Albany.
