BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

Some of the nation's top fisherman are heading to south Georgia.

Bainbridge will host the Bassmasters Elite Series Tournament.

More than 100 competitors will fish on Lake Seminole from Thursday through Sunday.

The executive director of the city's convention and visitors bureau expects close to 20 thousand people in town for the weekend.

"Just having the tournament here in general is wonderful for us, it's one of nine on the series trail and they've kicked off their series here, so we're getting a lot of publicity, from Bass and it's just a great way to show off Bainbridge," said Adrienne Harrison.

The Rivertown Days festival will also be held March 14th-17th.
