If you’re out and about today make sure you stay hydrated. Temperatures will feel much warmer than they really are. It's the hottest day of summer and South Georgians are beating the heat by staying cool at Turtle Park. More >>

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A protest on West End Avenue could cause some traffic problems during the Tuesday afternoon commute.

Hundreds of protestors are expected to begin walking at 3:30 p.m. at the West End United Methodist Church at 2200 West End Ave. and end with a picket and rally at the Publix on Harding Pike at 5:30 p.m.

The march is a part of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers' 10-day tour across the country. Organizers say the purpose of the march is to call on Publix to join the Fair Food Program.

The eastbound entrance ramp to I-440 will be blocked while the participants cross the road.

Metro police says extra officers will be on hand to help with traffic flow.
