CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

Funeral services for longtime Crisp County Sheriff Donnie Haralson continue this evening.

Hundreds of people from all over Georgia have come to pay their final respects for the beloved sheriff at First Baptist Church in Cordele.

Officials gathered at the Cordele Lions Club for a motorcade procession down U.S. Hwy 41 to the church for the funeral service. Sheriff Haralson was a past President of the Georgia Sheriff Association. Current president Bobby McLemore says he been a great friend and mentor to him over years.

The funeral started at 4 p.m. The procession will go to the cemetery where there will be a flyover and bagpipes.
