VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Stacy Blackwell, 20,  and Quinton Hall, 18, were arrested Wednesday evening, for Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and Possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Lowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine says that investigators from the Special Operations Division of the Sheriff's Office conducted surveillance at 1725 Gornto Road, and saw marijuana being sold.

The investigators got  a search warrant, and confiscated approximately 143 grams of marijuana valued at approximately $1,600, scales and packaging materials for the marijuana.

Both men were transported to the Lowndes County Jail. Stacy Blackwell was charged with an additional charge of providing a false name, because he initially lied about who he was.

They will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court this afternoon for an arraignment hearing where a bond will be considered.

Sheriff Prine is asking that anyone with information on this case, or any other case to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office at {229} 671-2950 or anonymous tips can be provided at {229} 671-2985 or on line at www.lowndessheriff.com.
