ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The death of Crisp County Sheriff Donnie Haralson is leaving a mark on his colleagues in other counties.

The Sheriff in Colquitt County is reflecting on the life of Sheriff Haralson.

Sheriff Al Whittington says he will remember Haralson as a great friend, mentor and lawman. Whittington say Haralson was always a phone call away, especially in his early career.

"Donnie and I go way back, and I guess when I was first elected Sheriff, I can remember calling on Donnie for advice on several occasions and he was always there," said Whittington.

Whittington says Haralson will be missed greatly.
