ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Junior League is hoping to raise $20,000 for children in need this weekend through a giant sale.

The organization is holding its Attic Sale Friday and Saturday at 636 Fussell Rd. The organization's 80 members have donated paintings, toys, and designer shoes and bags to raise money for Lily Pad and Children's Miracle Network.

"All of our members have to bring in a certain quota," said Attic Sale Chair Stephanie Fountain. "They have to donate $150 worth of items. So this is all Junior League members' items as well as...we have some outside donations as well."

Fountain said the event will kick off with a preview party Friday night featuring food, music and plenty of shopping from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $10, and are on sale at Places on the Point and Break Away Cycles.

"Our tickets are cheaper than they've been in the past. We usually do $15, and this year they're $10. So, it's a steal to get in here this year," said Fountain.

Shoppers are welcome to come back Saturday from 8am - 12pm, and can get in for just a $2 entry fee.

Fountain said the Junior League holds the Attic Sale every three years. She said they also host fundraisers every year and have an endowment fund to help local organizations.
