COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) -

Colquitt County authorities say three people have been seriously injured in a crash Wednesday morning.

It happened on Riggs Store Road. Officials said Carl Simpson, 64, of Colquitt County was driving in the westbound lane when he crossed the center lane and struck a Nissan Altima head on.

Melissa Smith, 34, was driving the Nissan Altima. She did have a passenger in the vehicle named Michael Smith.

Simpson was transported to Colquitt County Regional Hospital and then to Phoebe. He is listed in critical condition.

Melissa and Michael Smith were transported to Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. They are also listed in critical condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
