THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -
Students at Southwest Georgia Technical College hope to help shape brighter futures for young readers.
On Tuesday the National Technical Honor Society group donated more than 200 dollars to help the Thomasville public library purchase books.
"Many low income homes don't have any books at all for children to read, the idea is that if we can get books into their hands, we can improve their reading skills and their life skills in the long run," said advisor Jay Snodgrass.
The group plans to do more to help young people develop good reading skills.
