ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany State is currently 6th in voting to win a grant from Home Depot.

ASU entered the "Retool Your School" contests with at least 25 other Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

You can vote for Albany State by visiting Home Depot's website and clicking on the "Retool our school" link. Your vote gets pushed through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Student Government Administrative Assistant Laurentiis Gaines Jr. says the funds will be beneficial to restoring older facilities.

"This allows us to literally retool our school," Gaines Jr. said. "For areas that have old equipment, we'll be able to refurbish and renew, those equipments, those buildings, areas that we are able to use as students.

The voting ends April 14th.
