According to Harris, there was a 79-year-old man inside. Harris went inside the house four times trying to find the man, but was having trouble with all the smoke. The female who lived in the duplex went inside and was able to locate the elderly man. She started yelling, Harris was able to find the both of them and drag them outside.

Harris had just moved across the street and was awake cleaning. Harris said, "It must have been God's will, that is all I can say."
