ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers say traffic was backed up for miles along Interstate 85 North, near mile marker 10 after a trailer went up in flames on Friday night.

The Oconee County Fire Department and Anderson County Double Springs Fire Department both responded to the blaze around 8:30 p.m. Dispatch tells us it was a trailer being pulled behind a car that burst into flames. The trailer continued to smolder as firefighters worked to clear out the debris from inside. EMS was not called out to the accident. Meanwhile, traffic was crawling for miles. Drivers told FOX Carolina traffic was backed up for five to six miles.
