NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Nashville couple has been indicted in an alleged scheme to steal hundreds of DVDs and video games from Redbox machines and then re-sell them.

Jonah Phillips, 27 and Chiteka Thompson, 31, each face one count of felony theft after police said they stole about $38,000 in Redbox property over an eight-month period.

Detectives used surveillance video from area retailers and transaction records from pawn shops to identify the couple as the suspects involved.

Thompson was jailed in Nashville on a $100,000 bond, while Phillips was jailed in Williamson County on an unrelated matter, police said.
