State Rep. Chuck Sims of Ambrose (R) District 169 hasannounced he will not run for a 10th term in the state legislature.

Rep. Sims says he needs to devote all of his attention tohis family's  funeral home business in Douglas and his insurance business.

Sims also says his two DUI arrests last year did play afactor in his decision not to run for re-election.

Sims has been arrested three times from 2010-2013 for DUI.

He plead guilty to Reckless Driving  in 2010.

The 2013 cases in Douglas are technically stayed until afterthe 2014 session according to Sims' attorney Patrick Ferris.
