ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Georgia Power is making it more convenient for you to pay your power bill.

The company added 26-hundred Authorized Payment locations across the state.

Georgia Power customers can now pay their bills in many places where they shop including Rite Aid, Publix, Walmart, Kmart and Piggly Wiggly

There is a $1.50 fee to use this form of payment.

"I mean if I go to Publix to buy groceries and think about I need to get my power bill paid it would be an easy time to do it," said Jay Smith Area Manager with Georgia Power for Albany.

You must have a copy of your bill or your full account number. You can pay by cash or debit card and they will not accept checks or credit cards.
