GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Officers arrested a suspect after a woman's debit card was fraudulently used only days after she survived a crash that killed her sister and another man.

Police said Kristin Davis was on the way to her sister Lynsey's funeral Feb. 20 when she misplaced her debit/ATM card after leaving The Dollar Tree in Gaffney.

Later that day she noticed her card missing and notified the bank, who informed her it had already been used several times, according to police.

Detective Brian Blanton said he discovered the card had been used in Gaffney and Spartanburg and obtained surveillance footage of a woman using it at numerous stores.

With the help of a tip from a FOX Carolina viewer, officers said they were able to identify the suspect as Angel Hernandez, of Camobello.

According to online jail records provided by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Hernandez was booked into the detention center Tuesday.

Police were actively searching for Hernandez, who had warrants signed for financial card theft, financial card fraud and driving under suspension.

Police said the driving under suspension charge was added after they saw Hernandez driving a car in surveillance footage from the incident when she had her license suspended.

Lynsey Davis and Zekeius Sullivan were killed in a single-car wreck in Cherokee County on Feb. 17 on Darwin Road in Cherokee County.
