ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A judge denies bond for one of five men charged with an East Albany murder just before Christmas.

Anthony Jackson is charged with gunning down Jamey Spurlock after he got a flat tire.

Jackson was already awaiting trial on rape, sodomy, and child molestation charges.

He will remain in jail until his trial in Spurlock's murder.

Jamey Spurlock's parents say if the accused killers had not previously been let out of jail, their son would still be alive.

Tuesday, they pleaded with a judge to keep Anthony Jackson locked up.

"I pray, I beg you please do not let this man out on bond. Please and then breaks down in tears." Jamey Spurlocks' fiance Carrie Kimbrel made a tearful plea that 22 year old Anthony Jackson remain in jail without bond, charged with the armed robbery and murder of Spurlock, shot to death while changing a tire in East Albany.

Also speaking, her son Richard Corley, who said that a gun was put to his head during the robbery.

Prosecutors talked about Jackson's three page criminal history. He was out on bond, awaiting trial in March for Aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and rape, when Spurlock was killed. Judge Willie Lockette denied Jackson bond.

Spurlock's mother Mary Spurlock said "I fee better now that he is not getting out."

Jamey Spurlock's Mary and Robert Spurlock say they will attend the bond hearings for all the five charged with killing their son, saying they don't believe people charged with violent crimes should be released on bond, even with electronic monitors.

Mary Spurlock said "I don't want anybody else to have to go through what I've had to go through. Because I miss my son."

Two of the three brothers charged with Spurlock's murder were out of jail on electronic monitor house arrest when he was killed. The Spurlock's plan to file a wrongful death lawsuit, and push for the bond practice to be changed.

Mary Spurlock said "We want a law put in place. I would love to have it Jamey's law. But we're working on it. We're working on it."

Two of the Price brothers, who were wearing electronic monitors when arrested for Spurlock's murder, 23-year old Demetrice Price and 20-year old Kovarious Price, remain in jail.

The third Price brother, 18 year old Demonta Price, is still on the run from police, charged with murder.
