CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police received a CrimeStoppers tip about human remains found at an abandoned home on West 42 Street.

SCMPD's Julian Miller told WTOC that when police got there, they found remains under the house that were "many years old".

He said it will take some time to determine the person's identity. They are not treating it as a homicide investigation. The remainshave been transported to the Georgia State Crime Lab for identification.
