ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Federal and state law enforcers hope a new tip line will help fight the growing problem of prescription drug abuse in Georgia.

They hope the public and pharmacy and drug industry professionals will provide information to stop illegal pill mills, rogue clinics, and prescription trafficking organizations. South Georgia drug agents welcome the effort.

"What we hope is this will filter out through the state and we will be able to have some assistance coming in [along with] information," said Major Bill Berry with A.D.D.U.

The phone number for the Prescription Pill Tip Line is 404-893-7324. You can also text "TIP 411" and include the keyword PILLTIP. All tips are anonymous.
