ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

If you're having Olympic fever and want to get in shape, there's a new gym in town.

Impact Sports and Fitness held its soft open last Monday. More equipment continues to be brought into their facility. The gym focuses on combining cross fit and weight training. Aerobics classes and athletic training for kids are also offered. The trainer believes that the Olympic games motivate people to want to get into shape.

"I can tell you for me personally, when you're sitting on the couch and you're watching the Olympics and you see all of these athletes and the things that their doing. They talk about their training and all the hours that they put in. I think people may sit there and it kind of makes them realize wow maybe I'm not doing enough, maybe I should get off the couch and come do a little bit," said Michele Moulton.

Membership sign-ups are starting now. They're also offering a 14 day free trial. Impact officials are hoping to have their grand opening within the next couple of weeks.
