ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Dougherty Drug Unit seized $30,000 worth of drugs Thursday night in three separate raids.

They arrested 12 people on drug charges and seized cocaine, crack, marijuana and methamphetamine.

One raid was at 428 B West Society Avenue, a short walk from Lincoln Magnet Elementary School.

"I think that they will deal with anybody that's got the money," said commander Bill Barry. "Anybody that's got the money that they don't feel is the police."

In one raid, agents seized gambling machines. They charged Perti Lawhorn with commercial gambling and keeping a place of gambling.
