LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Lowndes County received damage from Friday morning's storm, too.

Trees and some large branches were knocked down in the yard of a home on White Water Drive... one of the areas of the county that sustained the most damage.

County officials said the storm kept crews busy Friday morning.

"We had a lot of trees goin' down, some wind, a tremendous amount of rain that came down in a very short period of time," explained Lowndes County Public Information Officer Paige Dukes. "During that time, we had law enforcement as well as Lowndes county Fire and Rescue, utility crews, that were out responding to the event as it was ongoing."

The DOT had to clean up tree limbs that blocked portions of I-75 in Lowndes County. No injuries were reported.
