ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A former Worth County Sheriff's Deputy plead guilty to sale of prescription drugs Friday morning in Dougherty County Superior Court, and was sentenced to 20 years probation.

28 year old Justin Stewart plead guilty to sale of a controlled substance, possession of drug related objects, and drugs not in original container.

Stewart was arrested in April 2012 by Albany Dougherty Drug Unit agents selling oxycodone pills in the 2400 block of Sylvester Road. At his arrest Stewart was armed with his service pistol.  Agents confiscated 90 oxycodone pills, other prescription pills, smoking pipes, and syringes.

Stewart was fired by former Worth County Sheriff Freddie Tompkins following his arrest.
