THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Severe storms moving through Southwest Georgia Friday morning caused hundreds power outages for Georgia Power customers and now crews are out repairing power lines and working to clear down trees.

In Thomas County, uprooted trees and fallen power lines littered neighborhoods. Power crews were seen using chainsaws to cut through the fallen timber.

SLIDESHOW: Right after the storm hit

At 2:45 p.m. less than ten Georgia Power customers were without power, with most outages concentrated in Tifton and Valdosta.

Crews and bucket trucks were also seen across streets with multiple lines down.
