National Weather Service: Possible tornado damage in Sylvester

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - The U.S. National Weather Service is investigating a possible tornado touchdown in Sylvester, GA.

According to weather officials, a visible path moving southwest was found. Storm spotters said uprooted trees were found from Evergreen Road to Liberty Hill.

The National Weather Service said experts will survey the damage and make an official determination.

Friday afternoon, only evidence of straight line winds was evident to experts surveying the area.
