Whether on the football field, basketball court, or classroom, our latest Colony Bank Student-Athlete of the Week proves attitude is everything.
Crisp County's Montre Hartage is a big part of the Cougars basketball and football teams. And he does it all with a smile.
The junior is a wide receiver and defensive back on the gridiron and a sharpshooting guard on the court.
But he's also a student with a 3.3 GPA.
Head basketball coach Terry Smith says Hartage is always coming up golden on the grade reports.
Hartage says going into sports and his classes with a positive attitude helps keep him on top of both.
"I just take my attitude everywhere I go," Hartage says. "If you have a positive attitude, you can get anything done."
"He always has a smile on his face," says Smith. "He always tries to stay positive about everything and tries to keep everybody up."
Hartage and the Cougars begin the state playoffs this weekend when they travel to Liberty County.
