CAMILLA, GA (WALB) -

The Southwest Georgia Reentry Coalition wants to help probationers transition back into the real world.

To help with that initiative, they hosted a stakeholder meeting at Darton College with representatives from the Governor's Office of Transition, Support and Reentry. Representatives talked with Service Providers and Faith Based Organizations on how to help every returning citizen be successful when they come out of prison.

"It's exciting to see those faith based organizations and those community service providers that are interested in partnering with us to create a safer community be reducing the number of crimes and reducing the number of victims  and seeing them that excited about being involved in it," said Jay Neal.

The Transition, Support and Reentry is the third phase of the Governor Criminal Justice Reform.
