Georgia State Patrol Troopers say a tractor trailer crashed on Martin Luther King Junior Road shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday, blocking traffic for more than an hour.
Officials said the driver had to be cut out of the vehicle.
"[The] front driver side tire went out," said Michael Moses with GSP. "There's an indention in the road where the rim hit the asphalt and he lost control, went down off the shoulder, down in the ditch and struck a tree."
The driver was taken to Phoebe Putney for treatment. Troopers say his injuries don't appear to be life threatening.
