ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A marketing video that highlights what Albany has to offer is now an award winner. The Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission's "We Are Albany" video won platinum and gold AVA Digital Awards.

The international competition recognizes excellence in audiovisual arts.

The 2-minute 12-second video features people, places, and activities around Albany.

"It feels great for us, it's a great testament to hard work of our staff, who helped put the video together and show a day in the life of Albany," said Justin Strickland, Interim President.

The video was shot totally on I-phones and was released via social media in October.
