Students sent home after suspicious gas odor at Albany High

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany High School students are being sent home after the building was evacuated after the smell of natural gas was observed inside.

The Albany Fire Department was called to the scene to try to identify the source of the smell.

Buses were sent to pick up students from the school. Officials said no immediate threat or danger was present but decided to clear the building before students can come inside.
