3 Doors Down bassist released on bond after DUI arrest

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

A walking keg of dynamite. That's how one member of South Mississippi's law enforcement community referred to DUI suspect Todd Harrell Wednesday. Because of Harrell's latest DUI arrest, the 3 Doors Down bassist is being called a serious threat on the road. And many people who wear a badge are saying he needs some serious help.

In the last two years, Harrell has been in and out of trouble with the law. In 2012, he got busted for a DUI in D'Iberville. A year later, Tennessee authorities charged Harrell with vehicular homicide by intoxication after deadly wreck near Nashville. And now, another mug shot has been taken of the Jackson County musician after police reportedly found Harrell slumped over his steering wheel on Lamey Bridge Road.

Harrell was released Tuesday night after posting bond. He's charged with second offense DUI other. According to police, other means Harrell was allegedly driving under the influence of a substance other than alcohol.

Just last month, a judge upheld a DUI conviction Harrell received concerning an incident that also happened in D'Iberville in 2012. He was sentenced to two days in the Harrison County jail and a $1,000 fine. However, the jail time was suspended granted Harrell complete six months of good behavior along with other requirements.
