HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Huntsville burglary was reported, and the offenders captured, in the span of one hour Tuesday thanks to vigilant community watch members.

A witness reported a burglary being committed at a residence on Bayless Drive and called police. The witness said they saw two people walk behind the residence with a tool kit and a computer bag. Another witness followed the two people until contacted by police.

A K-9 unit tracked the scent of the suspects to Acklen Drive, where investigators located two juveniles and property fitting the descriptions provided.

All the property was recovered. The two juveniles were charged with burglary. Police said they may be involved in other burglary cases in the community.

Councilman Bill Kling commended HPD for their work in the case, and the Bailey Patton Homes Community Watch program for providing the tips needed to solve the crime.
