Once again, our community is participating in the "BIG READ, "  an initiative  to restore reading to the center of American culture.

Albany State University, in collaboration with the Dougherty County Public Library, is engaging Albany-Dougherty County citizens in several events centered  around Zora Neale Hurston's "Their Eyes Were Watching God."

ASU is one of only 77 community organizations to receive the grant to host a BIG READ celebration!!!

Dougherty Co. high school and college students, as well as private citizens, have been  participating in lectures, movies, discussions, and even concerts…. and we hope you, too, have  been taking part!

If you haven't, it's not too late!! Pick up your copy from a local library branch  or download it on your favorite device!
