Albany Symphony honors Black History Month

Saturday the Albany Symphony honored Black History Month with a special concert.

The Symphony performed Jazz music, with some Bach and New Orleans, and New York style music at the Albany Municipal Auditorium.

Organizers say the symphony is a great way for people of all ages to experience music.

"We have young people coming tonight, we have the people that you would normally expect at a symphony concert  and a lot of new comers which is good. We want to expand the appeal of the symphony to the Albany community," says Albany Symphony Association President Jim Bullion.

Special guest Ken Trimmins, and his group, performed with the symphony Saturday.
