VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

The suspect in this past Friday's bank robbery in Valdosta is still on the loose.

The suspect was seen on surveillance video leaving the BB&T Bank just after 10 a.m. Friday morning.
Police say he walked in, handed the teller a note demanding money and then a few minutes later fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.

"[The suspect is] described as an African American male, approximately six feet tall, slender build," said Lt. Kirk with the Valdosta Police Department.

"He was wearing a black hooded, zipped up jacket. [He] left on foot originally, possibly may have gotten into a green or blue Dodge Intrepid," Kirk continued.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo or who has any information regarding the crime is urged to call Valdosta Police at 229-293-3145 or can remain anonymous at 229-293-3091.
