More arrests made in College Park shooting

Albany Police have arrested two more people in connection to a shooting at College Park Apartments last Saturday.

William James Slaughter and Corey Allen Smith Jr. have been charged with aggravated assault and burglary among a list of other charges.

The arrests come after APD charged four others in connection to the shooting.

Lenard Quincy Glover, Michael Anthony Dahiling, Azarius Jaleel Stephenson, and  Joshua Denzell Alford were incarcerated in the Dougherty County jail.

They were charged with two counts of Burglary, seven counts of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

Police say the shooting happened during a home invasion at the Gillionville apartment complex. According to a report, the suspects forced their way into an apartment.

Officials said the victims heard someone knocking on the front door. When the door was answered two armed suspects, one with a shotgun, and another with a pistol entered.

20 year old Rashaun Macney was shot in the leg with a shotgun during the home invasion and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

23 year old Lewis Williams, 20 year old Ginea Jackson, 21 year old Lakeysha Mason, and 20 year old Sabrina Tabreon were the other victims in the apartment.

Nothing was reported taken during the home invasion.
