ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Valentine's day is finally here, many of us have spent the entire week trying to find that perfect gift for that special someone, that's why some florists came into work early to get a head start on busy day ahead.

John Morrow, owner of Always Flowers and Gifts, gives WALB a sneak peek of some of the elaborate gifts that will be heading out Friday morning. A handful of florists were filling various rooms prepping for the crowd that will pour in throughout the day. Always Flowers offered bears, candy, balloons, cards and a number of other festive gifts wrapped and ready to go for those last minute shoppers.

WALB spoke to other floral shops in the Albany area and they said they have been working around the clock the entire week. Many have had to stay late or come in early to tackle crowds, process orders and ship out gifts for delivery trucks.

For example, Hadden's Flowers and Gifts designer, Sherry Perry says as soon they clock in one of the first things they have to do is collect all the orders for businesses and schools because since their hours are limited making them priority.  She says although it can be hectic, its expected since Valentine's Day is their busiest time of the year.

WALB News Ten's Nicole Rosales spoke to one customer who said Valentines is a time to show someone you really care.

"It's definitely one of those time of year where you have to be like a little ninja and sneak around here and do this and be incognito about that. yeah, it can be a bit stressful but for that smile on the 14th, its worth all of it," Hadden's Flowers and Gifts customer said.

As for Always Flowers and Gifts, Morrow said  they have about 200 deliveries with 8 drivers, they hope to get all orders out before 4pm.
