Albany Panther fans are disappointed

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Football fans are disappointed tonight after Albany city leaders said the Albany Panthers can't play at the Civic Center. Buffalo Wild Wings hosted Sunday night watch parties featuring replays of Panthers' games. Managers say the team is good for sports fans and south Georgia.

"It is tough, and hopefully Albany will overcome and maybe next year will get some better support for them," said Ted Beuke, Manager.

City leaders say they terminated the contract with the Panthers because the team owed the city thousands of dollars. Team leaders still hope to work out a deal.
