MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) -

Moss Point Fire Chief Clarence Parks has told WLOX News he is resigning. Parks said his last day will be the end of February. He's served as fire chief for nearly two years.

Fire Chief Parks was instrumental in helping to rescue people in Moss Point when flooding trapped them in their homes during Hurricane Isaac. He will no doubt use those real life lessons in his new role as an instructor at the Mississippi Fire Academy in Jackson and Pearl.
