Sink hole forms in parking lot

A sinkhole formed that appears to be about six or seven feet deep and several feet wide in the parking lot of a shopping center at 5500 Market Street. WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Some business owners in Wilmington are concerned about something that turned up in their parking lot.

A sinkhole formed that appears to be about six or seven feet deep and several feet wide in the parking lot of a shopping center at 5500 Market Street.

Workers said a gas line is visible in the sinkhole, so they did what they could to block off the area to keep anyone from getting hurt.

There is no word on how or when the hole will be fixed.
