Three young siblings injured in I-24 crash

A crash that shut down a stretch of Interstate 24 on Monday sent three young people to a Nashville hospital.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a car lost control on westbound I-24 in Coffee County about 5:30 p.m.

The three people in the car were all under the age of 18 and said to be siblings.

They were each flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, including one with what THP called life-threatening injuries.

Their names and conditions have not been released.

Westbound I-24 was closed for about two hours at mile marker 101 while emergency crews worked at the scene of the crash.
