MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – A Memphis jury found Lakeith Moody, 38, guilty of first degree murder in the death of his girlfriend, who was found dead under a motel bed, according to the District Attorney General Amy Weirich's office.

Sony Millbrook's body was found in March 15, 2010 at the old Budget Lodge on Brooks Road, six weeks after her family reported her missing.

Her family said she was last seen in room 222 of the motel, the room in which her body was eventually found.  The room had been rented out several times from January until March.

Moody was caught on store surveillance video, using Millbrook's EBT card, just four days after she was reported missing. When Moody was arrested, he was driving Millbrook's car.

A criminal court jury automatically sentenced him to life in prison, according to the DA.
